Stepping into this role means diving into the dynamic world of the travel industry.
As a Product Manager, you will play a central role in shaping and executing technology solutions for travel companies worldwide. Working closely with engineering and cross-functional teams, you’ll drive impact, enhance client value, and fuel innovation across our SaaS platform.
We are looking for a Product Manager who wants to own a product area end to end, decide quickly, adjust as they learn, and take responsibility for the outcome, not just the plan.
Whether you are ready to own more or have already led other product managers, we would like to hear from you. We look at what you have decided and delivered, not at how many years it took.
Tell us where you see yourself and we will talk it through.
Why Lemax?
Lemax is a Croatian product company building SaaS software that powers how travel businesses operate worldwide. Our platform automates workflows and streamlines operations for more than 40 clients across 30+ countries on 6 continents.
We value direct communication, trust and real ownership at every level, and we want our product managers to help us build that further.
Your role
You will be accountable for the results of your product area. Working daily with Engineering and our client-facing teams, you decide what gets built, what waits, and what we say no to, so that what ships makes a visible difference for clients and for the business.
What you'll be doing
Across both levels, you will:
- Own a product area end to end, from concept to delivery, and be accountable for its results
- Run the roadmap and backlog for your area, shaped by client needs, market input and business goals, and make prioritisation calls when time is short and the data is incomplete
- Turn unclear client and business requests into specifications, user stories and acceptance criteria that engineering can build without further clarification
- Track the impact of what you ship, analyse client feedback and usage data, and share insights and risks with stakeholders
- Keep delivery on track against agreed scope and timelines, and improve SDLC practices so that quality and speed go up together
- Work with Implementation, Customer Success, Customer Care and Sales to enhance client satisfaction and drive long-term engagement
- Use AI in the product (features, client workflows) and in your own work (specifications, analysis, research)
- Keep building your expertise in the travel industry
As a Senior Product Manager, you will also:
- Contribute to the long-term vision and strategy of your product stream, aligned with company goals
- Work with leadership on strategic topics, bringing options and a recommendation, not just problems
- Mentor other product managers and help improve product management practices across the team
What we're looking for
We hire first for how you think, decide and act. Experience matters because it is where you have shown that.
How you work:
- You own outcomes, not just tasks, and follow through to the end
- You say what you think, back it with evidence, and commit once a decision is made
- You decide when the information is good enough, and correct course quickly
- You bring structure to unclear situations and propose the next step
- You influence across teams without formal authority and say no clearly when priorities require it
- You stay calm under pressure and enjoy a fast pace and going deep into a complex product
- You’re curious and quick to drop an old mental model when the evidence says so
You don’t need to tick every box. If most of this sounds like you, we’d like to hear from you.
What you’ve already done:
Mid-level:
- You have run the roadmap of a product area across several releases, and can show what you decided, what you shipped, and what it changed
- You have turned client and business needs, including those from Sales, Customer Success and Implementation, into specifications, user stories and acceptance criteria that engineering can build from
- You understand how software is built and shipped in agile teams well enough to work with engineering as an equal
- You weigh time and development cost against the value for clients and for the business
- You think in numbers and logic: you break down complex problems, build business cases and back your decisions with data
- You look for where AI can improve the product and your own work, without waiting to be told
- You work comfortably in both Croatian and English (C1 or higher)
- You can travel occasionally or adjust your hours for clients in other time zones
- You have the legal right to live and work in Croatia
Senior (in addition to the above):
- You have shaped the vision and strategy of a product, not just its roadmap
- You have worked with leadership on strategic decisions, bringing options and a recommendation
- You have mentored other product managers or helped improve product practices in your team
What's in it for you?
- Real ownership: you are accountable for your product area and have a real say in what gets built and what does not.
- Real complexity and impact: you will work on an enterprise B2B SaaS product used by travel companies worldwide, and you will see the effect of your decisions in how clients use the product and what they say about it .
- Room to build: a stable, bootstrapped company with proven market fit, and room to sharpen how we work, from processes and roadmap to the way we use AI.
- Growth and development: high-quality onboarding, a feedback culture, and internal and external education. Prior travel industry experience is not required; we will help you master the domain.
- Work-life balance and perks: a hybrid model from our Zagreb office, fully covered sick leave, gamification rewards (tech gear, dream trips, education funding), free parking and team-building events. Explore our benefits further.
